The Rev. Rodwyn M. N. Fanfair
DeaconThe Reverend Rodwyn M. N. Fanfair (23rd April, 1964) is a Deacon in the Anglican Church in the Diocese of Trinidad and Tobago. He is a baptized and confirmed Anglican and was ordained a deacon on May 1st, 2019, by the Right Reverend Claude Berkley.
He is married to Candace Natoya Stacey (nee Young) Fanfair and has one (1) son, Rodwyn Fabian Fanfair, a daughter-in-law, Whitney Fanfair and two (2) grandchildren, Emily and Zoe Fanfair.
Prior to his ordination in 2019, he was a Lay Minister in the Diocese of Trinidad and Tobago for over fifteen years. He currently serves as the Assistant Curate of St. Margaret Parish, Belmont. In his parish, he has established a music program to train upcoming church musicians. He is also the current Manager at the Escallier/St. Jerome Anglican Primary School.
Before his transfer to St Margaret Parish, Belmont, in 2024, he served as a Deacon at St. Mary Parish, Tacarigua for over four (4) years. There, he functioned as part of the Information Technology team, and produced and conducted Monday Morning Prayer online services. These Morning Prayer services began during the COVID-19 lockdowns and lasted from 2020-2024.
Prior to joining the Anglican Church, he was a Senior Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Guyana and in Barbados, and Associate Pastor, Nazarene Worship Centre (Trinidad). His Ministerial service began in 1988.
He is the holder of the Bachelor of Theology Degree and the Bachelor of Arts General Studies (Music Major) both from the Caribbean Nazarene College. He has completed the following modules in the Bishop’s Lay Evangelist Training Programme : Introduction to Anglicanism, Faith and Practices of the Anglican Church I, Faith and Practices of the Anglican Church II, Christian Ethics, Theology and Ministry of the Deacon, Pastoral Care, Christian Education and Practical Work at the Altar.
Reverend Fanfair is an Instructor for the following modules: 1. Promise to Fulfilment 2. Leadership in Ministry and 3. Spirituality, in the Bishop’s Deacon Preparation Programme – 2019 and 2024.
He is the holder of several other certificates in project management, music, theology, ministry and preaching. He was employed as the Music Director at St. Mary’s Children Home, Tacarigua from where he retired effective April 2024. His passion for Ministry is in Church Music, Preaching, Teaching, Leadership and Church Management.
